TODAY (MAR. 05): Another Rapper Goes to Jail
THE FACTS:
• The Game has begun a 60-day jail sentence for pleading no contest to a felony charge of possession of a firearm in a school zone.
THE SPIN:
Another day, another rapper locked up. This time, it’s The Game. If you don’t remember him, that’s OK. He hasn’t had a hit recently anyway. While he hasn’t been popular on the Billboard charts lately, I’m sure he’ll be popular at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility where he’ll be serving his sentence. According to TMZ, the genius allegedly got into an altercation while playing ball with a player from the opposing team last year. Prosecutors say the rapper, who was born Jayceon Taylor, went to his Escalade, pulled out a gun and threatened to shoot the player. Not surprising, considering this is the same guy who once went on the dating show, “Change of Heart.” Hope your heart doesn’t get broken in jail, Jayceon.
