When asked if she’s been keeping up with the many, many, many, many Democratic presidential debates this season, pop star and Hello Kitty enthusiast, Mariah Carey said, "Clearly, I’m no political analyst. We all know that my album is called ‘E=MC2’ but I’m not exactly friggin’ Einstein. So basically I like to leave that to people who know what they are talking about, but I am very much more focused on this moment in our history."
I don’t know about that, Mimi. Anyone pushing 40 that can get away with dressing like a 14-year-old and still sell albums must be some sort of genius. Janet’s over 40 and singing about the same stuff as Ciara and look where she is on the charts. Give yourself some more credit now.
Anyhow, the singer was asked who she supported among the Democratic field and she was initially coy, saying it was personal, but “pretty obvious.” With an album called “E-MC2,” nothing is obvious with Mariah Carey. She eventually came clean, jokingly saying, “Yes we can.” If you don’t know what that means, then you haven’t been paying attention.
