TODAY (JAN. 23): Foxy’s Get Out of Jail Free Card?
THE FACTS:
• Foxy Brown is asking for an early release from jail so she can go to California for hearing tests and a repair of her cochlear implant.
THE SPIN:
I never know when to believe Foxy Brown. One minute she’s deaf, the next she’s back at Def Jam, then a few weeks later she says something completely out of pocket to negate both claims. But one thing that’s consistent about Foxy is that she’s always good for making the news. Congrats again to her for her attention-whoring ways because she’s still getting buzz from Rikers. So what’s bothering Foxy this time? She wants to get out of jail so she can go to Cali for some hearing tests. Remember, she’s deaf? I always assumed she was hard of hearing, but that was more of a brat issue, not a medical one. Her lawyers filed a petition in a state Supreme Court in Manhattan last week, with the claim that her condition is worsening in jail and she needs to go to a Los Angeles clinic to, "have her cochlear implant reprogrammed and repaired or else face imminent harm to her hearing." Do you believe her or is she just trying to get out of jail early so she can go back to throwing bows (and BlackBerries) in nail shops?
