• Monica delivered her second child, Romelo Montez Hill, last week.
THE SPIN:
Monica has officially delivered baby number two. The Grammy-winning singer and glock-enthusiast (did you read that Vibe article?) sent gossip blogger, Sandra Rose, a message confirming that she has indeed had her second child.
“Romelo Montez Hill was born on January 8 at 2:15 p.m. He weighed a healthy 5 pounds 6 ounces and was 19 and a half inches long. Thank you and your readers for your love and support. Lil Rock and Romelo mean the world to me, and so do those that support us. Again, thank you and look for my new album Summer ‘08. God bless you!!”
That’s a creative name. Sounds like the type of name where you might as well pour Lawry’s salt on your resume, but hey, both of his parents are recording artists, and one of them made a little money pre-downloading era, so he should be fine. But, I was named after Michael Jackson, so who am I talk? Congrats to Monica and family on a healthy baby! As for that new album, I can’t wait to hear Monica rap (well, she still sings sometimes, I guess) about shanking folks at the Waffle House!
