TODAY (JAN. 03): Mariah Doing More Movies in 2008
THE FACTS:
• In addition to her role in the independent film, Tennessee, Mariah Carey has two more movies lined up for the year.
THE SPIN:
All of you that didn’t appreciate Glitter, in all of its splendor, and as a result threw salt in Mariah Carey’s acting game can continue to hate in 2008. Mimi’s got more acting gigs lined up! First there’s Tennessee, where Mariah co-stars with Adam Rothenberg and Ethan Peck (I don’t know who they are either), and now the pop diva turned actress says she has two more films lined up for 2008. One of these films is with box office champ, Adam Sandler -- someone we actually know! Where are my lambs? I knew Mariah had it in her and would deliver on the promise she showed in State Property 2. As for her side gig, Mariah is preparing to release the follow-up to the multi-platinum “Emancipation of Mimi” sometime in the first quarter of the year. Yeah, I’m excited, but I’m more looking forward to Mariah’s first Oscar speech. Anyone her age that can still walk around dressed like a Cheetah Girl deserves an Academy Award.
