Slickback Willie is headed for Broadway, ya’ll! Academy Award nominated actor Terrence Howard is joining the cast of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof on Broadway.
Howard’s addition to the all-star cast, which includes Phylicia Rashad, Giancarlo Esposito and James Earl Jones was confirmed by show producer Stephen Byrd, who shared the news with the New York Daily News.
Debbie Allen has been tapped to direct the play. Actresses Anika Noni Rose and Kerry Washington are in contention for the role of Maggie the Cat.
You know, Slickback started to creep me out after I read some of his interviews earlier this year, but he’s a good actor, so I’m thinking about going to see this. Besides, I need to get the image of him with a cheap perm trying to rap out of my head.
