TODAY (OCT. 30): Ex-Worker Sues Jay-Z’s club
THE FACTS:
• A woman is suing Jay-Z’s 40/40 club amid claims she was fired because she was pregnant.
THE SPIN:
TMZ.com is reporting that Folake Ogundiran is alleging that she was fired from Jay-Z's 40/40 Club because of her "gestational status." That’s code for she’s knocked up. Ogundiran claims management gave her the boot because as a pregnant woman she doesn’t maintain the "young, fashionable, unattached, and s*xy," status staff members are to exude. Never mind all the old, tacky, and busted people who claw their way inside the popular lounge.
After telling her bosses that she was pregnant, Ogundiran says one female supervisor snapped on her, telling her that she couldn't run a business "like this," and demanded that she not show up the next day. If that’s true, that’s one less invitation to the baby shower to mail out.
However, the other side is claiming it’s Ogundiran who made the decision to stop showing up for work. A source told TMZ that Ogundiran left on her own accord despite the club’s efforts to bring her back.
I say she makes Jay-Z the Godfather and go back to work after she gets her s*xy back and call it a day.
YOUR SPIN: No one should get fired for being pregnant, but does a pregnancy ruin the club's s*xy mood?
