TODAY (OCT. 11): Diddy Sued, Again
THE FACTS:
• Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is being sued yet again – this time by a New York club promoter.
THE SPIN:
I know I just reported on Diddy being sued by someone in jail, but he just got sued again for something else so, like the count of his children, we all just have to keep up.
Who is suing Diddy today? Some hip-hop promoter who claims Diddy had three bodyguards beat him down in a New York City nightclub. Diddy has been sued by a club performer once before; maybe he had flashbacks.
James Waldon said he tried to introduce himself at The Box, a club in New York City, back in June when the incident took place. He alleges one bodyguard began to punch him in the face, knocking him to the table while two other bodyguards began hitting and stomping him. Take that, take that indeed.
According to court documents, Waldon was left with mouth and teeth injuries. They have [allegedly] messed the man’s grill up. I feel sorry for him: ‘yuckmouth’ is not a term of endearment.
Waldon is seeking $4 million in damages from Combs and his bodyguards as well as an additional $500,000 from The Box.
I’m sure that amount will buy some lovely veneers. If I were Diddy, I would just stay home. Sure, he has hundreds of millions of dollars, but if there’s a new lawsuit for everyday of the week, it won’t be long before I see him outside of the subway station asking for spare change to buy a sample clearance.
