THE SPIN (Daily Dose of Celebrity News): EVE PUSHED BACK
Get into The Spin everyday as TVONEONLINE blogger, Michael Arceneaux brings you daily doses of celeb gossip and news.
TODAY (Oct. 5): Eve Pushed Back
THE FACTS:
• Eve’s album, "Here I Am," has been pushed back for a third time, this time until an unknown date in 2008.
THE SPIN:
If I were Eve right about now I’d be calling my agent and looking into the possibility of getting another sitcom.
Her album was set to hit stores on August 7. Then it became September 18. Soon after that, the date changed to October 16. And now, who knows?
See a pattern here?
What’s prompted the push back? The album’s first single, “Tambourine” only made it to number 17 on Billboard’s R&B/Hip Hop songs chart. Though “Tambourine” grew on me, I always wondered why was a song intended for clubs called “Tambourine?” Who talks about tambourines outside of church? Give that song title to a Yolanda Adams album where it belongs.
The follow-up single, “Give It To Me” with Sean Paul didn’t even chart. I don’t remember much about the song. I do remember laughing at Eve trying to wind in the video, though. Too bad we couldn’t just request that.
Good luck girl. We'll be watching your show either way.
