TODAY (NOV. 27): Kelly Rowland to leave the music business?
THE FACTS:
• While performing at the House of Blues in Philadelphia, Kelly Rowland told the audience that she recently debated over whether she wanted to sing anymore.
THE SPIN:
This year has not been kind to Kelly Rowland. After taking a year to repackage Ms. Kelly (initially named My Story), the album tanked. It prompted Kelly to hit the studio again to record additional tracks in an effort to re-release the album sometime in 2008.
Since that time, Kelly’s embarked on a small North American tour in support of the album, though sales have been incredibly low. In fact, tickets that were going for $35 in most cities have been reduced to $0.75 to cover the convenience charge in an effort to fill the small clubs. Now reviews of the Philadelphia show are pouring in amid news that the Destiny’s Child star shared with the audience that she wasn’t sure if she wanted to sing anymore.
Look, I like Kelly I even bought her album. But, when you spend most of your time promoting Beyonce’s project in your interviews over your own, it’s not a shocker people aren’t rushing to support you. Not to mention Beyonce getting the best from music’s biggest producers while Kelly gets their leftovers.
I saw video footage from her tour over the weekend and, whew! (Kelly, you have a beautiful voice, but you sure couldn’t tell that night.) It’s like she sang like she knew everyone got in for free.
Kelly, get it together, I don’t want you to end up covering LaTavia’s shift at Walmart.

She never was that great to begin with. Everyone is on Beyonce butt so how on earth did you expect them to even want to like you. She can't sing to me anyway. She's one of those that only sounds good in the studio. Not live material. And neither is Beyonce if you ask me. If she didn't shake it like she does would she really be selling that many records and selling out at the concerts?
