HBCU Experience
What was your freshmen year like? Why did you pick your school? Was there anything you wish you had known prior to applying for admissions? I am a graduate of Texas A&M at Commerce. I received both my bachelors and Master's there. So I missed out on the HBCU experience.
I have a 18 year old son who will be attending Prairie View A&M in the fall. His interest and desire to attend a HBCU as sparked my interest in the history and culture of these fine institutions. Out of my desire to learn more about HBCU's, I have planned a Black College Tour. Our first tour will be next month to Jarvis Christian College and Texas College in East Texas.
