It’s 2008 . . . . . And It’s Going To Be Great!!

As the 12:00 am hit on January 1, 2008, I had never felt better to see this year roll around. I was sitting in church next to my line brother, O’keefe, as the pastor spoke about, “The great works that we had in store to complete in 2008.” This had me thinking about all the bad things that had happen in 2007, but then I realize that my good really did out weight my bad. Yes, I made some major mistakes, just like many of you did, but I thought about the love that people had for me.

Even though it’s only been four days into the New Year I feel the greatness of 2008.

Work:

I have been running around the office trying to get thing organize at my desk, but the more I get one assignment done other one comes along. There is never a dull moment here at Meharry Medical College and especially in my department. My B.A. degree in Mass Communications from Lane College is really paying off here in Nashville, TN. Who would have ever imagined sitting in a public relation class would enhance my people skills. “The Power of Potential” So, I encourage you to use that skill you have learn and use it in 2008.

Fraternity Life:

Truly, “Our cause is still speeding on its way.” Most brothers believe once you graduate from undergrad that frat life stops, but for me its only the beginning. Here in Nashville, we are getting ready to present our new Sigma Beta Club. (I’m excited) Our regional conference is right around the corner in Oklahoma City in April. (We are going to have a ball!) It’s probate time. (Look for a blu and white jacket coming your ways soon.) I’m ready to greet and meet brothers from everywhere. So, hit me up!

Social:

This was one of my weakest areas in my life last year. I didn’t want to go out or talk on the phone, but 2008 I am ready for action. I see things are changing and people want to me to be in the social light again. It’s funny how I use to love to take social studies in elementary school. LOL! So, this time let go out and have fun. Life is to short for missing the GOOD LIFE!!
