It’s hard for me to say I am sorry and really mean it, but I had to change my way of thinking and really mean it. How many times have you heard this, “I forgive you, but I won’t forget.” Damn, I have hurt you that bad that you can forgive me, but can’t forget I must have made a lasting impact on your life. I had to look at it for a Christian point of view, when we come to God and truly repent our sins are forgiven and our past is erased. We start off fresh. After all the things that had me scared for so long are pointless because I have the courage to move forward and I finally stop stressing about the little situations that arise in my life. I now have to courage to speak up for myself and also learn how to be quiet. I now have the courage to be a better friend, fraternity brother, lover, and a gentleman. It’s strange how we can reminisce about the past so much because that all we know and been through. I’m leaving the past behind and all I see is the future and you are in it.
