“Where I Want To Be”

Arthur Benton · Thursday, October 4th 2007 at 11:25AM · 356 views
There have been many times, when I have face difficult episodes in my life. Times when I didn’t know if I was going left or right, didn’t know if it was day or night, and just times when I had to fight. I finally realized that you where always there in spite of my mess. Now I know . . . “Where I Want To Be”

Only your real friends will tell you when your face is dirty. ~Sicilian Proverb

The quote above is so true. You get so caught up in your own pains and attitudes, you forget about the people who walked beside you. See, I said, beside you, not in front or in the back of you, but beside you. We become so sightless to how we act or treat others, but real friends will always tell you how dirty you are. Yes, it may hurt, but hurting is healing. So, I had to be the one to decide . . . “Where I Want To Be”

Forgiveness does not change the past, but it does enlarge the future. ~Paul Boese

It’s hard for me to say I am sorry and really mean it, but I had to change my way of thinking and really mean it. How many times have you heard this, “I forgive you, but I won’t forget.” Damn, I have hurt you that bad that you can forgive me, but can’t forget I must have made a lasting impact on your life. I had to look at it for a Christian point of view, when we come to God and truly repent our sins are forgiven and our past is erased. We start off fresh. So, I am saying sorry from the depths of my soul and can we start off fresh. That when I opened up my eyes and now I understand . . . “Where I Want To Be”

Courage is being scared to death... and saddling up anyway. ~John Wayne

After all the things that had me scared for so long are pointless because I have the courage to move forward and I finally stop stressing about the little situations that arise in my life. I now have to courage to speak up for myself and also learn how to be quiet. I now have the courage to be a better friend, fraternity brother, lover, and a gentleman. I now have the courage to believe in myself, how to leave jealously behind, and be that support system you need. I now have the courage to love you more than ever. I now have the courage to find . . . “Where I Want To Be”

I know not what the future holds, but I know who holds the future. ~Author Unknown

It’s strange how we can reminisce about the past so much because that all we know and been through. I’m leaving the past behind and all I see is the future and you are in it. To everyone that I tag this note to you already know my journey and how our relationship is, was, and going to be. I truly do love you and you mean the world to me. Like many of you tell me, “If no one ever tells you that they love you, remember that I do.” In the words of Donell Jones, it took a minute, but I finally know . . . “Where I Want To Be”
