Who's Got Jokes?: Episode 10

What’s up ‘Jokes’ Fans?! This was the most challenging episode of the season for me to blog about. After I watched the show, I asked myself, “What the hell y’all want me to say about this?!” Episode 10 was the bowling challenge episode and where the winners were split into teams of four. The blue team consisted of Isiah Kelly, Shawn Morgan, Tommy Chong and Jeff B, and the yellow team was Karlous, Mozan and Tyler Craig. They used K-Dubb, the wild card winner, as the valet. LOL!

In the last 10 years, Black people have proven to be superior in sports like golf and tennis. After watching this episode, you’ll see we are no where close to taking over bowling. There may be a famous Black bowler somewhere, but I don’t know you because I don’t watch bowling. I don’t know if there are any Black people in NASCAR either. I figured they wouldn’t let Black people in NASCAR because they know we’ll PIMP our damn ride. Yep!!! We’ll have all types of unnecessary stuff on the stock car. Tinted windows, DVD players, spinning rims, etc.

All of the bowling rounds didn’t consist of your traditional bowling. Some rounds were bumper bowling and bowling with hole-less balls. FYI – “Hole-less” is a word! I looked it up in the dictionary for all you English majors out there. In one round the contestants wore bifocal glasses that impaired their vision. Like I said, Stevie Wonder can bowl better than some of these people.

Tommy Chong had me laughing, because after each of his bowls he would dive into the crowd as if he just scored a touchdown for the Green Bay Packers. At the end of the tournament the scores were tallied and the blue team won. As the losers, each member of the yellow team had to vote off one of its members. They chose Tommy. I guess all that Lambeau leaping didn’t help.

Tommy was supposed to go home after being voted off. Instead, the producers made him face off with K-Dubb at the L.A. comedy club, The Comedy Union. Both had great sets. K-Dubb crushed the crowd. He hit them with short setups and rapid fire punch lines. Tommy displayed great creativity with analogies about computer software. I liked the joke he made about meeting women online because I could relate. I think women tend to send out a lot mixed messages trying to confuse brothers on their pages. I went to one girl’s page that said “I am a God-fearing Christian woman looking for a God-fearing Christian man.” Why was her screen name “Bootylicious69? You show up at the girl’s house on the first date confused as hell. You don’t know who you ‘bout to pick up – Lil’ Kim or Shirley Caesar.

K-Dubb was the winner by the comedy club’s audience. I told you all he would go far. I know some of you are saying, “But you’ve seen the entire season all ready!” That’s not true. I see the episodes a couple days before you all. Who’s Got Jokes is TV One’s highest-rated show and they are very protective about the tapes. I have to enter a underground vault with two armed guards just to watch the episodes before they air. On my way out, I have to be strip-searched and sniffed by dogs.

Make sure you tune in to another round of the play-offs next week. We are getting very close to the finals.
