Would you date a much younger/much older person?

I think it was Aaliyah who said, "Age ain't nothing but a number." But then again, she DID marry R. Kelly when she was only 15. But what about you, family? Would you date someone who is much younger/older than you? If you have, tell us about it.

I'm married to a much older person and have been for 20 years. Raised 3 children, buried 3 parents and other elders. Still fight and love. A true life partner; my best friend

I like to stay in my age range, but if I had to I would date a person that would be 3 years older than myself. This would be due to maturity and growth. For me it is just better, but to each his own.

This is a great poll question

I don't mind dating someone older that I, and I have dated someone older that I. The oldest guy I dated was 43. I thought I would feel akward, but I didn't. To me he was better than the 20 something year old or the 30 something year old. The 43 year old is now a friend, but I could talk to him about anything and vise versa. I always enjoy the conversations we had, it wasn't about the same old thing. Some younger men are all about s*x and I'm not about that. I want more out of life, and sometimes older men can handle that.

Yes, in my case i would look for a man who is in his early 40's because men in my age range are too imature and want a woman to care for them instead of the other way around. But too i dont think i personally could do the young thing again, it's too much to deal with.

I prefer to date a much older man in the hopes that he has grown out of the petter pan phase of life
