Can you believe Oprah was told she was “too black”?

In Oprah's speech to Howard graduates on Saturday, she told them that early in her TV career executives would tell her she was "too black" and that she should change her name.

She didn't listen to them and look where she is now...do you think Black TV personalities ares till being told that today? Is this why we have so many Black celebritries dye their hair light brown and blond?
