Howard University Named among " Great Schools"
Howard University has been ranked number 24 among the top 50 national universities listed as “Great Schools, Great Prices” in the U.S. News’ 2006 “America’s Best Colleges” issue. This is a rise of four positions from last year.
To determine which schools offer the best value, a formula is used that relates a school’s academic quality, as indicated by its ranking in U.S. News, to the net cost of attendance for a student who receives the average level of need-based financial aid – the higher the quality of program and the lower the cost, the higher the ranking.
We are very pleased with this acknowledgment of the outstanding quality of the educational experience offered by Howard. Congratulations to the faculty, students and staff.
