Founders Explain Idea Behind I Love Howard Campaign
The I Love Howard Campaign (www.ilovehoward.org) is an alumni-driven initiative designed to curb the tide of anemic giving among Howard University graduates. We came to Howard University from every corner of the world with different goals and ambitions, but we graduated with a singular mission— to sustain and grow Howard University for future generations. By giving back to HU, we are teaching future generations the value of financially investing in HBCUs and other universities and colleges across the nation.
our goal is to raise $20,000 for the university’s endowment by October 1, 2014. The Howard University endowment is an important and permanent source of revenue for the school— supporting faculty, research and development, public service programs and activities, student financial aid, and future operations. The endowment is the lifeline of our university. We all have a vested interest in growing and preserving this resource.
