Remembering the Caterpillar

Remembering the Caterpillar

· Thursday, April 13th 2006 at 1:24PM · 818 views
I've heard it said that Spring is a time of 'rebirth' for all living things. During this season God's creations respond by shedding the old and embracing the new.

I am reminded of the caterpillar's struggle to break free of its chrysalis. Seemingly, at first glance, it appears that the caterpillar needs help in its rebirthing process...its metamorphosis. Yet, if we tried to 'rush' the process by, perhaps, gently removing bits of the chrysalis we may actually be causing more harm than good. The undeveloped wings of the butterfly could be damaged.

The caterpillar's 'struggle' is necessary as it allows the caterpillar to develop or mature into an adult butterfly. As a result of this process what was once an 'unusual' looking creature is now a beautiful, magnificent butterfly!

Think of it this way: Caterpillars actually are communicating to us the same point we have long desired others to know...."I am not my skin...I am the soul that lives within".

Spring is here.

We are now able to shed the chrysalis of stress, anxiety and depression formed during the bleak days of winter. Yes, ours has been a struggle, but we have emerged strong, magnificent and as beautiful as the butterfly.

Now is the time to allow our 'wings' to carry us through anything.

Always,
Tressia

Deep, can't add anything to this but persoanl testimony.
Sometimes one word, "Deep" is/can be a huge paradigm of meanings.
Peace.

By the way, I am ready to break free now and want the "Chrysalis" taken off in my own wishes, I guess "Someone" knows more or something that I don't......... But I still keep coming, praying and trying everyday.
Just thought about this "When" issue I have.
Read a Daily bread reading yesterday that talks about "Tribulation" which is Greek word for "Pressure" which works patience which is an area I lack admittedly. I mean I dream and go for it, but in the work and fight, I want it now.
This is where folks become weary. I know, but I have told people pain is machochistic if You like it.
Paul or Peter(MInd is tired, still a.m. and don't feel like lokking it up right now) speaks of Glory in tribulations which is not loving the process but Glorying God and giving All credit where due for overcoming, triumphing and growing past it.
Anyway, very timely.
I was signing Candice's GBook and saw where the both of You had communicated about this blog.
I clicked out of her Profile and was intrigued to come back for a reason.
Just had to add that for some reason.
Its all meant well.
I'm ready for the end part myself, but of course thats in my eyes........
But it is in scripture about being the "Apple Of His Eye".
Anyway, my thougths.........
