It's been a while since I've gotten advice from any of you insightful peeps from HBCUs. Well, it's that time again!! I am at ASU(Alcorn State University), I decided to come to summer school and I am bored to death. My "guy-friend" and I are way too far apart. So, I've been in search of someone new to kick it with while I am here on these long hottt a$$ summer days. So, today my homegirl and I were outside chillin outside and this dude stops by us. He was in a pretty nice looking car and was very clean cut himself. So....blah blah blah......................I gave him my number. After he left, my homegirl told me not to Fu*@ w/him cause he has a baby mama out here and that she is crazy as hell. She said that they aren't together but gives his new lady friends hell, causing confusion. He called me and I asked him about the baby mama, he replied by saying (1)that she isn't here for the summer, (2) that she is real far away anyways, and (3) that she also has no say in who he kicks it with. I know he's right but, I don't want and Baby Mama Drama. What should I do?

If you don't want drama like 8Ball & MJG, don't get involved. Maybe you could talk to him every now and then...but don't get too caught up. Besides...you don't want any baby mama drama yourself...

RUN!!! HEAD FOR THE HILLS!!! I'm serious (even though I'm being playful about it). There is one thing that you don't need in your life and that's confusion. Messing with baby daddy and that may be the biggest confusion.

Don't get in that. Take you friend's advice. Although Baby Mama is not there for the summer, she apparently will be back in the fall and all the drama will start then. You don't need that. He apparently knows that she is full of drama or else he would have simply said it's all good. An answer like, "she ain't here for the summer" let's you know that ol' girl must be hell. I'm sure it's some other guys on the yard that come without the drama. I'm not saying without a baby, but definitely without the drama.
