From Elliot Spitzer to Geraldine Ferraro

Gerald Layne · Tuesday, March 11th 2008 at 6:40PM · 753 views

Hillary Clinton should have picked a better group of people to support her. She has a trick baby in NY and an angry white woman handling her finances. Is this whom we need and want leading this country for the next four years?
Can you imagine had this been a Republican’s supporters with this extra nonsense coming out their camp. Every black preacher would already have their marching orders, literally. As a matter of fact, it was demanded that Senator Obama denounce the leader of the Nation of Islam, Minister Farrakhan on national TV in a debate with Hillary Clinton. Hillary Clinton is not the best woman for the job, although we are made to believe it and the people who surround her campaign prove she should go ahead and save her party and step down. The only states Hillary Clinton can win is those states where there are long histories of hidden racial tension. States like Pennsylvania and Ohio confuse race issues when their problems are poverty and financial issues.
Lastly, Senator Obama has touched not just the black vote but he is doing well because of white voters. Wyoming and Utah doesn’t register to me as a haven for black on black crime. Ohio and Texas went to Clinton because the blacks failed to get off their butts to vote.

These types of public statements go to show how ignorant some white people think we are as a people. To make a statement like the one Ms. Ferraro made about Senator Obama would be political suicide if it was directed to a Latino candidate. Here again we are disrespected with the assumption that there isn't enough of us that posses enough sense to be offended and react politically. I will not vote for Hillary Clinton if she should somehow find a way to STEAL this democratic nomination. I know I'm only one person, but every vote counts!

As always thanks for your excellent blogs. You are a man of the truth. Question--what happened to our most recent post? Blessings. FBK
