Arkansas-Pine Bluff overcame a two-touchdown halftime deficit tonight to beat Jackson State 43-40 in Pine Bluff, Ark.

Jackson State (5-3, 4-2 SWAC) led 30-14 after the half, but lossed for the second straight week after starting the conference season with four consecutive wins in coach Rick Comegy's first season. JSU lost to Grambling State 36-6 last week.

Arkansas-Pine Bluff, the SWAC's Western Division leader, improved to 5-3, 4-2.
