Why do some kids automatically go to college?
As a parent of two, I was perusing a Parenting magazine and couldn't help but notice the numerous ads for preschool "prep" schools that boast of their impressive alumni. I was discussing with a friend how their were no children of color in any of these ads. It made me ponder the question are some kids programmed to succeed earlier on in life than others? When is it too late to get caught up?
Of course they are, people died not that long ago for us as black people and we still have many black folk in the community, spirits of "Crabs in the bucket" that try and do thwart often...
