How do yall feel about Kanye...?

How do yall feel about Kanye 1. posing as Jesus on the Rolling Stone cover and saying that “I bring up historical subjects in a way that makes kids want to learn about them. I’m an inspirational speaker.

“I changed the sound of music more than one time… For all those reasons, I’d be a part of the Bible. I’m definitely in the history books already.”

I wanna know your thoughts on that, good or bad. Let a girl know!

I like how Kanye stood for black people during the Hurricane Katrina fiasco...
I see there is a thin line between ego and the confidence the Bible speaks of.
I thought to blog about and defend Kanye when he spoke out about Hurricane Katrina.
I don't know the whole context Kanye is coming from but this is a great blog/question.
Keep up the good work Sis.
Oh, yes there is something wrong with a lot of todays hiphop but certainly not all.
I have seen the documentaries on BET about the dance girls and it disturbed me about them...
Men are going to take what sistah's give in general.
A young man with a ton of money and a 100 sistahs and probably a good percentile stating they are college students through themselves at him and tell/suggest/wear/etc. anything he wants but hey they want a thug and they respect themselves.
If the raunchiest rappers in the game were to show uo right here right now, just watch the guestbook, responses etc. And thats not counting behind the scenes.
Truth is truth.
Hey Flava flav showed us a lot...

I agree; there are two sides to every situation (Very true about that Flava Flav part. That show was so sad...but it was my show!) <---see what I mean...~Angi

I agree with William, there is a very thin line between ego and confidence and the pose Kanye did for Rolling Stone showed this; however, Kanye has always taken risks, this shows when he put out Jesus Walks. I listen to Kanye's music and a lot of his songs(not all) are actually putting out a message that reflects something positive. Oh and I watched the Flava of Love too, I was disturbed by the females, but it was a funny show. I really think to add to your other blog, that women also contribute to their own exploitation in order to get to the top. Many of them do not succeed, but they do whatever to get to that level. It is a trip what people will do but it is what they do......

I think Kanye is still finding his way. He is a youn cat that seems to have the desire to do right but struggles with things just as we all do. I think what is refreshing is his honesty about those struggles and that he is real in showing his gifts and his flaws. He is an unfinished product and if he is blessed to live a long life will probably look back on some of the things he has said and done and see how immature he really was. I have seen people say and do a lot worse and get a free pass. I think with the right guidance and counsel coupled with maturing as and artist and person he will be fine.
