Are there any gentlemen on the HBCU campuses?

Recently I started working on a story for our school paper about gentlemen on the campus. Well, I don't know about any other schools, but VUU has a TERRIBLE shortage. Why is it so hard to find a decent dude in school? I mean, college should be one of the first places to look, so where are the gentlemen? And if you don't know what make a guy a gentleman, here are a few characteristics.
1. He holds doors
2. He helps you move your stuff in when you come to school
3. If you're at an event and the seats are limited, he offers you his
4. He speaks to you as if you're a lady, not yelling things like "Damn, you s*xy as hell ma!! Can I hit that?"
5. He defends you against the guys that won't respect you

Are there any on your campus?

I feel what you are saying. I guess most guys are so caught up in the fast life that they don't take the time to reconize a woman's worth. Rappers don't make it any better but they can't blame no one but themselves. Also some women love when men talk to them any kind of way. They think that is cute. That doesn't help the situation either. Time and patience. Some will get it a little bit sooner then others.

HERE IS YOUR GENTLEMAN.

I believe that the men that are the true gentlemen of society today and on HBCUs' campuses are the very ones that are overlooked. They are not necessarily the one hollerin "Yo ma can I hit that!!!" but the ones that are quiet in reply and admires a lady from a distance. I mean take me for example I am single, and a gentleman, plus I got more things going for me than most would believe. But most of the time ladies dont realize what i do (they see it but dont agknowledge it) that's real messed up to me b/c the same ladies complainin' they want the real men but constantly fall for the real boys, cuz only kids "holla".

There is also a shortage at Morgan!! But it seems as if the women have settled for being treated lees then like a woman. What happened to when men were real men? I don't know what else to say about this. I try my hardest to respect women because they are the most beautiful thing that God has created!
