Howard Roommate INFO!!
OKay, I just contacted Howard's Office of Residence Life and received some important info pertaining to choosing roommates.
First of all, don't think about that whole RSVP thing. As freshmen we don't have to worry about that. That $50 dollar housing fee you sent in is sufficient. I was told that after you pay that deposit, the Office of Residence Life will send you a package that tells you exactly what to do.
In order to request a roommate you can do one of two things:
1. Send in a Roommate Preference Form by mail, the fax machine is broken at the moment. You can access this form if you go to http://www.howard.edu/residencelife
2. When you arrive on campus (in August) both you and the person you want to roommate go to the residence office together and choose one another, BUT this is only if the two of you are assigned the same dorm building (i.e. Bethune Annex, Cook Hall, Tubman Quadrangle, etc)
Hopefully this info was helpful. I can't wait to meet you all in the fall.
