POEM I WROTE! CALLED BLOOD OF A MILLION STORIES!

Jordan McSwain · Sunday, March 19th 2006 at 10:06PM · 384 views
Look in the mirror see garvey's and Nat Turner's reflection
Witness corruption and misconception looking in the wrong direction
hoping my adolesces don't lead me to deception
All I want is to feel candid
But When I wear a shirt that shows my african pride, white people cant stand it
My Blood traces back to kings and Queens
Now my blood is looked at as broken dreams and dope fiends
Im tired of the struggle and the hatred
They mad cause I got the mind of a genius and the heart of a patriot
I do this for my people that took lashes to the back
Thats why Im proud to say IM BLACK!
Because of what my ancestors went through
I put my aggression to paper so I can bring the revolution in my mind to you
I dont need to shine and i dont need the glory
Because my people will shine as my blood tells a million stories

Good job again.... You're a great writer.... The best poets write from their heart.... and that's exactly what you do... I love reading your work!
