Think About It (poetry)

DARRELL SWEET · Thursday, September 8th 2005 at 3:06PM · 96 views
Thoughts can change and cause life to feel strange
Step up to the plate and create positive change
Otherwise negative thoughts will consume the brain
A full grown vegetable most would consider a lame
With no other alternatives to release the pain
Ready to burst, just got worst
Double the strain
Life is rough enough, now harder to maintain
Hands collide, knees collapse, call out his name
It doesn’t matter in front of whom, don’t be ashamed
He’s worthy of those praises, don’t be insane
When praises go up, the devil’s being slain
Just as Able was slew by Cain
But when it’s all said and done, the facts remain
He still the lord of lords and the king of kings
The heavyweight champ, don’t step in the ring
You definitely must be ready to hear the fat lady sing
