My Father, My Role Model

This man is one of my role models, the now retired Judge Lonzo Lucas Sr. The day that he was sworn into office was truly one of the more memorable moments in my life. Why? Because I had just left work and was running late when I made it inside of the building he was making his acceptance speech and told the crowd I regret that my oldest son could not be here; from the back of the room I waved, he saw me and a broad grin broke out across his face. He acknowledged my presence and the room erupted in applause; a truly memorable event.
