WHAT WOULD YOU DO?
One day I was sitting on the sidewalk
And a man came up to me and saw I wasn’t doing nothing
After staring at me for several moments pondering his next thought
He then said,“ Young Lady let me ask you something”
What would you do if the world ended right now
Turned into a massive, violent war
Would you break out and try to hide to keep safe
Or would you even care what we are fighting for?
Better yet what would you do if you were walking
Down the street and came upon 25 grand
Would you turn the money in, use it for charity
Or try to grab as much as you can?
What would you say if you could only speak one word
Which could save the life of someone else’s?
Would you try to spit two words instead to make sure
You were heard or whisper for them to get their own help?
How would you respond to me telling you
That come judgment day we leaving here through
Fire and heat, would you get scared and immediately say your prayers
Or shake your head at me in disbelief?
But you gotta remember the definition of faith
Is the ability to believe in something you can’t see
What if you heard that your prayers fall on deaf ears
And that there really is no GOD?
Would you jump for joy cause you can sleep in on the weekends
Or continue to request your Sundays off from your boss?
Since the media is able to brainwash us all
Scarface the rapper said “It takes a minute to live and a second to die”
What would you do if he actually spoke the truth, would you repent right then
To be forgiven of your sins or say that you have lived most of your life?
When you gon’ finally wake up to see the light
To seize the opportunity to straighten up and fly right?
What would you do if your bestfriend cheated
On her man with your’s and then lied to your face?
Would you take your girl word over some n*gga
Or take the time to put that trick in her place?
What happens next when you have your
Heartbroken, hell the father of your kids, you just
Don’t know, would you take this as a sign to become a real woman or just continue
To act like a hoe?
Trust me lil mama sooner or later
Your decision will begin to show
What would you do if you only had enough
Money to feed your family but after that you were
Dead broke, a stranger comes along poor, hungry and
Asks for help, would you try to provide as much as you can or just flat out tell him no
What would you do if the only backbone you ever had gave up on you
Told you, you couldn’t be successful if it hit you in the face
Would you ignore the fact they are speaking of their own life or go after
Your goals anyway?
How would you feel on the day when you get
Nothing but bad news, can you imagine your reaction
On the day it finally comes? Well remember the guy that approached me on the sidewalk,
This blessing in disguise had to forgo his only begotten son,
For the reason that we can be free, what do you think
You would have done?
What would you do if had the chance to meet
The man who cheated to rule the world and now has created a whirl of a mess,
Would you tell the government to kiss your behind and screw bush
Or would you dress up in your Sunday best?
After all these questions this complete stranger
Has asked me, I’m sitting there in complete silence but managed to give
Him a quick nod, ya see ladies and gentleman in case you
Haven’t been listening, the stranger I’m sitting next to you is GOD
It’s funny the things we people hear
And the words that can come out of people’s mouth,
I mean I’m not someone who can decide your fate or anything but seriously
Are these some of the questions you even think about?
Oh wait don’t’ answer that!
