It is a sad day when one of our up standing Black men are crucified in the media. Once again the media is on attack of one our Black athletes. Mr. Vick I believe is innocent until prven guilty, and since he is not a repeat offender of the conduct policy in the NFL should be given the respect of being innocent until proven guilty. Now granted this has been a horrible off season for conduct for players but also this gentleman have on a consistant basis proven that money doesnt bring class. Point in case look at Coach Reid's sons who are appear to be guilty but will more than likely walk with a plea, While Mr. Vick has never embarressed himself, family, or club in such a fashion that should warrent this attention. I am not naive and understand a story is a story but when is enough enough for our community??!!!! When you have Sen. Kerry, for whom I am now ashamed to admitt I voted for(lesser of 2 evils), now demanding some kind of punishment for Mr. Vicks actions. I didnt learn in school and indictment meant your were guilty. I am sorry for the ranting about a gentleman I am sure I will never meet but when is enough enough. When are we going to as a people police and hold our public figures accountable and ALSO stick by them in their time of need. Until Mr. Vick admitts or is proven beyond any doubt he committed those crimes, I will be one of his supporters. For years I was amazed and proud of the things he was able to accomplish on the field and all the while with our other talented black qb's proveing that we as a people are more than competent to lead anything that is out there especially a game. I appologize for the late/early morning ranting but I have been unable to find suitable outlets since learning of this action taken by Mr. Goodell.
