The NAIA announced that Paul Quinn finished the 2011-2012 academic year as third-scoring NAIA Champions of Character Five-Star Institution. The College finished with a score of 91 out of 100. The Champions of Character Scorecard measures each institution's commitment to the NAIA Champions of Character program. Points are earned in five key areas: character training, conduct in competition, academic focus, character recognition and character promotion.
The other institutions in the top five include: Montana Tech (100); Carroll College (Mont.) (96); University of Saint Francis (Ind.) (91); and Xavier University (La.) (91). This year 221 NAIA institutions were named Champions of Character Five-Star Institutions and six NAIA conferences had all of their members earn the Five-Star designation.
