Why school pride matters (regardless of how you feel)

When I speak to HBCU students about the importance of school pride, I urge them to never get caught up in the emotions of the moment. I also challenge them to compete against proud students or graduates from some of the country's most well-respected colleges and universities. Unfortunately, I have dealt with quite a few students who seriously lack pride in their respective HBCUs; and I warn them that could compromise their career paths.
