Golden Years

DARRELL SWEET · Thursday, November 3rd 2005 at 10:53AM · 474 views

Grandma, eight and a half decades on earth was spent
Through the years wisdom was gained in increments
Passed on to use in life as instruments
Trials and tribulations aren’t always pain and torment
Remain focus, stay humble, in due time you’ll vent
God has been good to you
How merciful is he?
I pray the mercy he’s giving to you is extended on me
I want a full life too, just to live it for him, remember the hymn
I’m coming up on the rough side… of the mountain
Satan’s alive and scouting, and while hell is getting crowded
I’ll take the road less traveled, my old path was re-routed
Some must think hell is comfortable, I seriously doubt it
Hallelujah is the highest praise I just had to shout it
Grandma thanks for everything you have done for me
You are definitely everything a grandma should be

This is deep Bro, you have a gift to write.
Keep up the good work and the faith that you have.
I knew neither one of my grandmothers but my GrandDaddy was/is my Idol.
God Bless
