I just wanted to comment about this, first of all I was born in America am currently living in South Korea and from what I have witnessed in my native country and abroad is this. Your race has nothing to do with how you treat one another what we are talking about here is human nature. I teach English to Elementary school children and they beat the heck out of one another on a daily basis. I was shocked when I first saw it but now strangely enough I've grown used to seeing it. From that perspective I know that as African-Americans we want to be seen overall in a positive light and there is nothing wrong with that but, newsflash I think that is the case because for every negative there are a few positives keep that in mind.
Secondly, the people who think negative of you have skeletons in their closet too, the only thing protecting those skeletons from being seen worldwide is the media and we all know who controls that. So knowing those two things take solace that no one is really better than anyone else in this world, don't forget about the 2 year old Black girl in the UK whose IQ (165)is higher than Einstein's and this man was a genius. It's funny how the media focused on that for a hot second and left it alone after the fact, not negative enough I guess but despite all of that she still exists and she is still smarter than the majority of people around the world. Including those who believe themselves smarter than the rest of us, how does that affect your ego? Think about those points that I made and add it to your perspective of what is really important.
