helping the ones that hurt

today i meet the most impossible being i've ever known. he was hurting emtionally and i offered him my hand and each time he pushed away i listened patiently and never interupted and never judged him and when he said all he had to say there was silence i offered some advice and he took it as an offence. i wanna help him soo bad but he wont let me what should i do
