Shame on Morehouse College Black Men! (725 hits)

The cable news networks keep running a story about a White Male Student who graduated top of the 2008 Graduating Class. If I was a Morehouse Man, I would be ashame and highly disappointed. How in the hell can an entire class of Black Men, allow the only white Man in the class out-compete them. In the news story, some of them acutally seem to be proud of his accomplishment. That's what I call a True Mis-Education.

As a Conscious Black Afrikan American Man, I see the world from a Black Point of View. I think that we must be taught to compete in a capitalistic society. The president of Morehouse and all of his Deans should be ashame. We as Black People are in trouble and this kind of foolishness on behalf of our leadership in the Black Colleges is why.

Did you see Barack Obama on TV when he graduated from Harvard Law School? Do you understand what this looks like to Black Children?

Looking at this from the Anglo perspective perhaps Blackmen aren't up for the challenge (collectively). Perhaps intimidation is still prevelent and not put on blast. If the powers to be at Moorehouse and all the other dominant Black Colleges see no problem with this then there is still a divide not only between black and white society but also within the black collective. This Anglo enrolled in Moorehouse intentionally to challenge where there was no challenge and to prove and prevailed. The government doesn't give Visa's to just any foreigners. They give mostly to those of color (foreigners) in place of the lack of tenacity we African Americans display in the higher institutions of learning and therefore unprepared for the more challenging jobs. If college is in your (Blackman) future it is your responsibility to do away with anything that will keep you from being your best at your studies.
