"A Life of Humility"
Ephesians 3:1-10
When Paul describes himself as "the least deserving Christian there is," he means that without God's help, he would never be able to do God's work. Yet God chose him to share the Good News with the Gentiles and gave him the power to do it. If we feel that our role is minor, we may be right-except that we have forgotten what a difference God makes. How does God want to use you? Draw on his power, do your part, and faithfully perform the special role God has called you to play in his plan.
QUOTE OF THE DAY
"Never would have made it; never would have made it without you. I would have lost it all; but, now I see, you were there for me and I can say that I am stronger; I am wiser; I am better; much better..." - Dr. Marvin Sapp, from the #1 gospel song in history, "Never Would Have Made It."
BLACK HISTORY TRIVIA:
Congratulations to Tyrone Walston who was the first to send me a nickname for Frederick Douglass, who was born on yesterday. He is also known as "The Greater Emancipator". Here is today's question to wrap up the week: in 1992, a memorial was held for one of the greatest authors in African-American history. At the memorial, his wife eulogized him as follows: "Thank you, you have helped us know who we truly are." Who was the author being memorialized?
