I very happy that Black History is being included in many states curriculum. When I attended high school, we didn't cover the topic and I had an African American teacher. In jr. high, I had an African American teacher as well and she didn't include any concepts of Black History. As an aspiring teacher I plan on including Black History in my classroom. Not just one month of the year but at several intervals. I think that all students can learn from what happened to all races during the time being studied.
