It’s just never too early to start getting your “ducks in a row” for the 2008 Presidential election.
It'll be time to cast those ballets for our country's next president before you know it, so make sure you know where you stand in the voter registration process (address updates, etc.).
I know it seems as though you might have all the time in the world, but it never fails that when it comes time to make a voting decision folks wont' know about "absentee voting processes, won't have or have lost their voter registration cards, don't know what district they're suppose to vote within or the common voting places (polls), etc.
Biggest headache to many is that question of, “Under which hometown would I vote under if I'm away at school?” Find out now and that shouldn't be an issue when the time comes.
And, if you haven’t already, start reading about/listening to the candidates on all sides of the political table.
Your vote does count, even though at times it might not seem as though it does, it does. And in my opinion, if you’re not part of the process, then don’t complain about things that you might perceive as wrong or an injustice on some level, then don’t complain and expect correctness or justice if the gavel falls your way or the way of someone else you know.
Then again, if for some reason you’re unable to legally vote, at least give someone a ride to the polls on election day. (Too many folks have died, been injured, or had other injustices done against them for some people, in this day and age, to walk around as though voting doesn’t matter.)
