Death: An event many grieve at, but should consider rejoicing (564 hits)

Today, my father's father (my grandfather) passed away at the age of 91 in the comfort of his home. A man who was a butler for a rich caucaisan man in charlotte and supported all 10 children without going on welfare. In his 70's, this man still had a six pack and muscles.

I don't want to cry because he is not suffering, he is with my grandmother and with the lord and his other family. This proves that we definatley have a task to complete on earth before we go to heaven.

Death is the separation of the living world to the spiritual world. They become guardians of their loved ones. I remeber my mother's uncle who passed a month before my brother was born told my grandmother either in a dream or talking about he has to get that boy which was my brother. when my brother was born, he looke like my great uncle who passed away.

Your family has my condolences. I too lost my father 5 months ago, and I'm not going to tell you not to cry not to be sad, but in your grieving period, remember those "good days". Just remember that no battle is too hard for God to solve' Be Blessed.

Hey Candice... I can relate... just went through a very similar situation this past week. It's hard to cry over someone who lived a good and long life. My loved one was a very active part of my everyday life, and I will most certainly miss that... but at the same time, I can't control death. I just have to accept it. So my prayers are with u and your family, but if u can draw from his strength in your own life and use it for something to reach toward... it helps the healing process. It gives u a reason not to fail.
