Rebuilding a sense of community (716 hits)

America is a long way from the rural roots that once kept us tied together. With the development of trains, planes and automobiles along with numberous ways to communicate and buy goods and services, was a lost sense of community. We are segmented and distant.
With so many opportunities, so many distractions, so many different lifestyles, why would we consider the need to be tied in as one community?

Because were divided by which opportunities we take advantage of, and what we choose to distract us, and what lifestyles we live. I think because of things like that if we start to isolate ourselves in those types of groups or have that idiviualist nature we lose that comfort, and without that support would be lacking. That's what a community really is a support system that can provide you with a comfort. I think that type of division would leave to many alone.

Excellent blog. Joyce, If opportunity divides the community, which divides the people then we become conquered by our enemy. Opportunities for the few which comes under Affirmitive Action and not the law, leaves many of them in our community in proverty and dependant on our enemy while we work with the enemy. Meaning never looking back or helping bring up those we leave. If love is what we claim then when we loosen the chain from around our necks, look back and help a bro/sis.
