After accepting that I just wasn’t going to get around to pushing the racism issue aside, I decided to attempt to write something on the issue.
Anyway, for those of you who hadn’t heard or seen it by now, actor Michael Richards’s a.k.a. Kramer from the show Seinfeld, recently made national headlines for his ill fated, emotionally charged racist tirade directed at some African American club patrons, during a performance at “The Laugh Factory,” in California. And, it was reported that Richards used the “N-word” at least seven times in a matter of about two to three minutes.
Since that infamous rant, Richards has made some type of apology on David Letterman and has gone on to attempt “talks” that would facilitate his apology to the “Black Community,” with the aid of civil rights leaders, Revs. Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton.
The Rev. Jackson was interviewed on CNN and attempted to tie in a political leader’s negative racial comments with Richards, but as was the interviewers job, she gently snubbed that comparison as to stay within the individual (Richards) being discussed for that segment. Nevertheless, it got me to thinking – Many were drawn in by the televised (Internet-introduction by TMZ.com) behavior from Richards, but there has and is a more critical awakening that should be taking place in OUR OWN backyards.
With that, the only other thing (for now) I would add to the race issue – and I’m directing this to those of us within the “Black Community” – What do you think about us?

P.S. I’ve included some other Web sites (below) wherein you could reference in the hope that you would be able to form your own perspective on the matter, if you didn’t have one prior.
