Fresh off a season-opening victory over Maine, the Titans will be right back in action Tuesday night when they take on 16th-ranked Marquette in the second round of the CBE Classic.
Game time at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee is 8:00 p.m., and WDTW-AM 1310 will carry the live radio broadcast.
Detroit advanced in the winner's bracket of the CBE Classic's Milwaukee pod by coming from behind to defeat Maine, 57-50. Later on Monday night, Marquette (2-0) had to go overtime before nipping Idaho State, 59-56, behind Dominic James' 17 points.
UDM had two players in double figures on Monday as Brandon Cotton led the way with 24 points, while Ryvon Covile chipped in 12 points and a career-high 13 rebounds. Guard Brandon Bell led the reserve corps' efforts with nine points in 16 minutes off the bench.
Tuesday's game will be a reunion of sorts for Bell, who began his college career at Marquette before transferring to UDM. Monday's game was his first as a Titan.
A victory on Tuesday would be Detroit's first win over a nationally-ranked opponent since the Titans upset No. 15 UCLA in the first round of the 1999 NCAA Tournament. The winner of Tuesday's contest will move on to the four-team Championship Round of the CBE Classic in Kansas City
