ONLY A BLACK WOMAN
Can go from the boardroom to the 'hood and "keep it
real" in both places.

ONLY A BLACK WOMAN
Can slap the taste out of your mouth.

ONLY A BLACK WOMAN
Can live below poverty level and yet set fashion
trends.

ONLY A BLACK WOMAN
Can fight two struggles everyday and make it look
easy.

ONLY A BLACK WOMAN
Can make a child happy on Christmas Day even if he
didn't get a darn thing.

ONLY A BLACK WOMAN
Can be 75 years old and look 45!

ONLY A BLACK WOMAN
Can make other women want to pay plastic surgeons
top $$$ for physical features she was already born
with.

ONLY A BLACK WOMAN
Can be the mother of civilization.

Sometimes these blogs can come at just the right time. I took a cerification test today and failed, and I absolutely felt drained and stressed, but after reading this blog, I've gained a new strength and feel like I can once again conquer the world. I guess I just needed to be reminded that I am a Black Women.

Hello Tyhesha, appreciate You adding your real life to this blog. Honesty is boldness.
Just remember that Your ancestors dealt with a whole lot i.e. rape, molestation, having babies under trees (putting them in the shade and going right back to work), keeping familes together while watching them ripped apart, beaten, abused, the man coming home and beating the snot out of many of them, beatings, promiscuity, even some males being abused by massa, Jim Crow, KKK, Racism, Inhumanity, Genecide, illness, pain, mental hurts, hunger, famine, malnutrition, racial profiling, murders, etc.etc.etc. And I admit inequalities still exist against women, let alone Black Women.
And those strong women ENDURED...
--and are the very reason we exist as a culture via God today, God has a covenant with the womb of the woman. Think about that.
Childbirth would kill man, let alone carrying for 9 months.
I hope I am not being too strong here, just emphasizing that You are the very genetics and fabric of those behind you to pass onward in the ways You can/will via choice.
And we are all human, I mean Elijah called down fire from heaven and destroyed troops of enemies and fled from Jezebel.
Many are called but few are chosen. Why? Only a few choose... This is a consistency over the long run, not perfection. Hope You feel where I am coming from.
Matthew 22:14.
