On Wednesday July 10th, Hollywood's elite stepped out for Hidden Empire Film Group's (HEFG) Power Players Mix and Mingle at the HEFG studios. This exclusive pre-ESPY party, held in collaboration with The Union and EAG Sports Management, celebrated the launch of HEFG's new division, Hidden Empire Sports.
Guests enjoyed an evening filled with music, catered bites, and beverages while networking with notable directors, producers, industry executives, and renowned athletes. The event provided a behind-the-scenes look at upcoming projects, including a sneak peek at the unreleased Floyd Mayweather documentary teaser directed by Deon Taylor and produced by Roxanne Taylor, as well as a football-centered feature film.
In a special presentation, Deon and Roxanne Taylor, alongside AAFCA’s Gil Robertson, took center stage to honor three remarkable individuals who have made significant contributions to both sports and entertainment.
Floyd Mayweather was presented with the Icon Award, celebrating his legendary career in boxing and his influence beyond the ring. Known for his undefeated record and larger-than-life persona, Mayweather has not only redefined the sport of boxing but has also become a prominent figure in the entertainment industry, showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit and media savvy.
Mookie Betts received the Trailblazer Award, recognizing his outstanding achievements in Major League Baseball and his pioneering efforts to create a lasting impact both on and off the field. Betts, a multi-time All-Star and MVP, is celebrated for his athletic prowess and commitment to social justice, using his platform to advocate for change and inspire future generations.
Draymond Green was honored with the Impact Award for his significant contributions to the game of basketball and his influential presence in the media. As a key player for the Golden State Warriors, Green’s defensive skills and leadership have been instrumental in his team's success. Off the court, his candid commentary and involvement in various media ventures have made him a respected voice in sports entertainment.
