In February 2002, I created and began hosting "Talk To The Doctor Live,"
a live, one hour radio broadcast and call-in program that airs every
Wednesday at 5:00 pm Central Time on WURC, 88.1 FM.
Informing listeners about health and medicine is the mission of "Talk To
The Doctor LIve," and any health topic is "fair game" on the show. In
addition to merely providing information, I frequently host medical experts
on the show from a variety of medical and allied health specialties.
Together with in-studio guests and callers, a lively dialogue is often the
result with the goal always, ultimately, focusing on your health.
Since it's inception, "Talk To The Doctor Live" has covered a broad range
of health topics with emphasis on those that are of greatest interest and
significance to the African American community. In November of 2003,
"Talk To The Doctor Live" was he subject of an article in Memphis
Tennessee "Commercial Appeal" newspaper.
While "Talk To The Doctor Live" is broadcast from the beautiful and
historic campus of Rust College in Holly Springs, Mississippi,
you may tune-in to it from anywhere in the world via webcast. Simply log
on to
www.WURC.com and follow the instructions for listening to the
broadcast.
