Johnson C. Smith University offers cultural holiday celebration with Santa on Dec. 1 (1060 hits)


Johnson C. Smith University invites all families in the Charlotte community to “An Evening with Mrs. Claus & Santa,” a free holiday party taking place Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018, in Biddle Memorial Hall. The event will include live Christmas music, refreshments and raffle giveaways. Young guests can also take a free photo with Santa and Mrs. Claus, available for download following the event, at Charlotte’s oldest culturally Black university.

“This is an opportunity for Charlotte youth to come together and interact with a Santa that reflects their diversity in an educational setting rich with history,” said Octavius Rice, Residence Hall coordinator and event organizer. “This kind of community engagement is why JCSU is rooted as a cultural institution in Charlotte.”

The event is free and open to the public, and guests are requested to RSVP at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/an-evening-wi... Please spread the word!
