WHEN: Monday (Oct. 30) from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. (Special Luncheon @ 1 p.m.)
WHERE: ASU's Buskey Life Science Bld. & the ASU Dunn-Oliver Acadome.
NOTE: Lunchtime event @ 1 p.m. at J. Garrick Hardy Student Center Ballroom.

Alabama State University’s National Alumni Association (ASUNAA) will host its 24th annual Student Career Day with Hornet Alumni on Monday (Oct. 30). Registration starts at 8 a.m. and the event takes place from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. with a special luncheon at 1 p.m., at which all parties will be present. A highlight of the Career Day luncheon (A Great News Event to Cover) is the student resume writing contest awards. The ASU alumni will award monetary prizes to several students for their submitted resumes at the luncheon.

What a great news story to be able to show older adults sharing their career paths and professional insight with students who are still in college. All alumni are invited to participate as a classroom speaker and/or as a consultant in the Speed Networking session with students, which may be used as a great news or feature story, too.

Events for the day include:
- Alumni in classroom career discussion with students from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Speed networking with alumni session.
- A complimentary lunch for students, faculty and alumni in the ballroom of the John Garrick Hardy Student Center from noon to 1 p.m.
- Award ceremony at the luncheon.
