Always does it to me. I love it.
I was just walking a elderly out to her car holding her umbrella, a white lady in her 70's holding my arm. She was struggling with her umbrella. She stated You are getting all wet, I replied I am ex-military and I view rain drops as Blessings from God.
I always feel God is talking when it thunders...
I have loved cloudy, stormy weather since a child. I have always been intrigued by it. I think of scriptures that allude to rain as Blessings from God that exceed raindrops.
I also think of scripture that talks of God speaking with sounds of thunder and in the form of a thunderstorm etc.
I always loved those annual summer thunderstorm seasons, once sitting on some steps and a bolt of lightning in a line streaked across the sidewalk in front of me, I did not realize I could have been killed or seriously injured.
I started tracking Hurricanes on those grocery bag tracking charts around 8 years old and I watch the weather channel regularly to see the next chances of rain especially stromy weather, people that know me call me the weather man and state i should have taken up meteorology but I always tell them there was not enough money in it and meteorologists are usually in large numbers at various stations.
I always feel most creative and inspired during these moments hating for the rain to go.
I feel most spiritually connected during rainshowers especially at the beach.
I hope to be able to one day join those tornado tracking teams during tornado season out there in the midwest, this would be thrilling for me, I remember the last time I saw one was over the manatee River in Bradenton, FL with my Grand Daddy dropping me off, I watched it until it dissapated.
Come to think of it I predicted something like 3-4 tornado's here in the Waycross area(I called family and friends to warn), one time telling people that I was in a meeting with traveling from a meeting to take cover because we were near a tornado. The tornado landed on the gas station beside the Mental Health Building, we were teaveling towards it and hopped out the car and into a building... I did not see it but could feel it.
1 June is a holiday for me due to the annual start of Hurricane season, God Bless to all affected by storms that were abnormal in every way I most assure You and now New orleans has been hit by a series of tornado's in the most devastated and still repairing areas, but as Hurricane Katrina and Rita that hit close in the same areas which is like 2 meteorites traveling from light years away hitting the same areas within 50 miles; anyway many people just don't get it returning to the same lifestyles, many unlearned ignored lessons/warnings, anyway...
Don't let me get started about cloudy rainy windy stormy nights. My future wife will know :-):-):-)
Anyway, just my present 2cents of thoughts while it is stormy, cloudy, windy etc.
